Review: Urban Decay 24/7 Liquid Liner in “Perversion”.

What is it?

A black waterproof liquid eyeliner from Urban Decay. This is available from all stockists of Urban Decay but I’ve found the best price to be from Beautybay at £14 inc P+P.

Swatches.

Pros.

  • Long lasting and waterproof formula which lives up to it’s claims.
  • Extremely fine applicator which allows for precise application of liner.
  • Very pigmented formula which gives a very bold colour payoff.

Cons.

  • I find that product can dry and clump around the inside of the packaging, this can be removed easily enough but it can also be messy to do so.
  • It is quite pricey, however I do think that if you’re willing to spend the money   it’s worth it.
  • I tend to use this in conjunction with other eye liners because I find it quicker to use a thicker liner to line some of my eye and then use this on the inner and outer parts because that’s where I find my liner wears quicker.

Conclusion.

I do really like this product and I would say it is the best liquid liner I’ve used because of how long lasting and pigmented it is. However the fact that I feel like I have to use it along with other products makes it less of an outstanding product in itself. It is definitely worth a try though because for some people who prefer thinner lines, it may suffice on it’s own.

Playing Around with Prom Make Up.

I left school last week which means my prom is now rapidly approaching. I’ve ordered a dress in this colour -

I’m not going to match my make up exactly to the dress colour but instead focus more on what will compliment my colouring (blonde hair, green eyes). My dress has a plunging neckline and is also backless so I think I’m going to fake tan in preparation and go for bronzed dewy looking skin. However I’m still not sure exactly what eye make up I want to wear so I’ve been trying a few things out.

I know I want to wear a slightly smokey looking eye but I’m debating between a bronzey brown looking eye (as pictured) or a slightly lighter pinkish rose gold smokey eye. I’m really not sure yet but I’ll probably practice some more and post photos. Either way I’ll definitely do a post on whatever make up I decide to wear :)
